在 "台北週末票房冠軍"，Tom Cruise 主演的《烈探狙擊》(Jack Reacher, 2012) 分別登上 2012 年尾及 2013 年年頭的週末票房冠軍。
主流影評對《烈探狙擊》的評價只是一般，我卻是十分喜愛的。
說回電影，Jack Reacher 究竟是何許人也？
作者 Lee Child 筆下這個角色，為美國陸軍憲兵隊前軍官，身高六呎有五，如同 Top Gear 主持人 Jeremy Clarkson 的高度。
找來高度只有五呎有七的 Tom Cruise 來演，未免與讀者心中所想象的，多少有些出入。我沒有讀過小說，在看電影時可完全投入這個故事。
Tom Cruise 五十有一了，仍然是魅力非凡。
喜歡《烈探狙擊》，主要是人物角色的塑造。Jack Reacher 本領不少，能打、能射擊、有腦。最重要的是，這個人物，如同台灣電影譯名《神隱任務》一樣弔詭，來無影、去無蹤。
他獨來獨往，不用手機，不刷卡只用現金，沒有固定地址。想找到他，卻是件難事，如警察探長 Emerson 說，"Obviously you don't find this guy unless he wants to be found."
Jack Reacher 與律師 Helen 互相吸引，雙互之間的浪漫，僅有眼神接觸，就這樣而已。電影裡有一幕，二人共處一室，討論到案件的最新線索。
Reacher 除掉上衣，一邊說案情，一邊在洗衣服。
Helen 看着他裸露上身，忍不住說："I'm sorry. Could you please put a shirt on?"
Reacher 淡淡然看着手中的衣服，說道："This is my shirt."
這個角色太有趣，他太喜歡自由，連衣服也沒多件。
自由對 Reacher 來說是什麼？電影裡有以下的對白：
Look out the window. Tell me what you see. You see the same things that you see everyday. Well, imagine you've never seen it. Imagine you spent your whole life in other parts of the world, being told everyday that you're defending freedom. Then you finally decide you've had enough. Time to see what you've given up your whole life for, everything. Get some of that "freedom" for yourself. Look at the people. You tell me which ones are free. Free from debt. Anxiety. Stress. Fear. Failure. Indignity. Betrayal. How many wish that they were born knowing what they know now? Ask yourself how many would do things the same way over again, and how many would live their lives like me.
在城巿生活，要把自己隱藏不是易事。
街上有知道、熟悉你的人。
科技進步，生活時刻被記錄，如提款、刷卡、出入大廈、通話、發電郵等。
Reacher 通通不要這些，他要過得沒有束縛、自由自在。
